With the tension pulley in this kit you can keep the belt tight as it spins around the motor shaft. If your original pulley is damaged the dryer could begin to squeal as the belt slides around the exterior of the drum, or the drum could fail to rotate. A damaged pulley will eventually damage the drive belt.

This kit also includes a replacement motor belt that is essential if your existing belt has snapped, causing excessive motor noise.
